WHO ARE WE
SAIIE is a study abroad program founded in 1984 in Seville, Spain affiliated to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL).
SAIIE isn’t just an organization—it’s a family. Literally! Our three directors—Samantha, Stuart, and Sean—are siblings who grew up right here in sunny Seville, Spain. Even though they call Seville home, they’ve each studied at college in the U.S., lived abroad, and explored countries all over the world.
All three are serious sports lovers (and competitors!). They were student-athletes in the U.S. and still love staying active through various sports today.
Between them, they speak Spanish, English, and French fluently—so they’re always ready to connect with students from around the globe. Their international experiences and local roots make them the perfect team to guide you through your study abroad journey.
