Credit

Most internships are available as a credit option through EUSA, approved by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Students must ensure their home institution grants credits for their chosen internship.

Students may complete 400 hours for 6 credits, or 240 hours for 3 credits.

EUSA Accreditation

EUSA is affiliated with the University of Seville and, hence, EUSA degrees and courses are in alignment with the Spanish Ministry of Education and European Higher Education Area requisites. EUSA faculty is accredited and habilitated to teach at the Higher Education level through the University of Seville.

Students will be responsible to provide the requirements of the internship they want to take part in for credit transferability at their home institutions. Each student is responsible for working with SAIIE and their home institution to ensure that their credits will transfer.

Non-credit

All the internships are available as a non-credit option, as an opportunity to explore and gain experience in a specific field, to improve your linguistic skills, and to interact with Spanish people. At the end of the semester or year, interns receive a certificate issued by the sponsoring institution or business.

Transcript & Certification

EUSA will issue an EUSA Transcript, as well as a Certification of Completion. Credits will also show on the UW-La Crosse Transcript sent to our students.

Student Testimonials

“Studying abroad in Seville, Spain, was the opportunity of a lifetime. Through the program, I interned at the Flamenco Dance Museum, where I worked in customer service, translation, and commercial tourism. I translated materials, assisted with sales and visitors in both Spanish and English, and gained hands-on experience with a supportive and friendly team. The internship helped me improve my Spanish, understand Spanish culture, and build lifelong friendships. It was by far my favorite internship experience, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity.”
