SAIIE Director, Ms. Samantha Chipres, UW-Platteville site visit
Our SAIIE director, Ms. Samantha Chipres is visiting the UW-Platteville campus today, Monday January 23 and tomorrow, January 24.
Any students interested in studying abroad in Seville, Spain, please stop by the MPSC-Mississipi Room at UW-Platteville, Tuesday, January 24. Samantha will be there from 3:00pm – 4:30pm to answer any questions you might have.
Samantha will also be visiting the UW-LaCrosse Campus on Wenesday, January 25 and Thursday, January 26.
Finally, Friday, January 27 Samantha will stop by University of Dubuque.

Fall 1992 Alumna site visit
Guess who came to SAIIE today? Heather Welch, alumna Fall 1992, from Florida State University… Lots has changed in Seville but her memories remain.
To Heather’s right you can see the SAIIE academic director, Mr. Jose Luis Sierra and to her left, Mrs. Regla Rojo (Office Manager). They both were working at SAIIE when Heather studied back in 1992.

For all you Cheese lovers!!! Seville is holding this week a cheese exhibition where you will get to learn about the different cheeses, there will be also a cheese tasting event, and the exhibition will finish with the European Cheese Awards 2022.

Welcome dinner in Sevilla!
Yesterday we received the visit at SAIIE of a spring 2009 alumnus, Mr. Jordan Brick,
current International Programs Manager and Int’l Education & Engagement, for the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. It was great to see him again and welcome him back to Sevilla.
Jordan join us at the welcome dinner for our summer 2022 (session I and II) participants.
Students had a great time trying the Spanish tapas (papas bravas, seccreto iberico, fideos con verduras, salmorejo, etc) and of course some Sangría :)!

Our students Calvin Fagley (Gustavus Adolphus College), Kristen Wolf (Colorado State University Pueblo) and Hannah Lesser (Tufts University), at swimming practice yesterday.
