Interview With Spanish Athletes

This activity reflects the service-learning side of SAIIE programming, where students engage directly with local people and institutions rather than only observing from the outside. Interviewing Spanish athletes creates a structured way to compare sport culture, training expectations, communication styles, and student life across contexts.

Learning outcome

Students practice listening, intercultural communication, and reflection while engaging with Spanish perspectives on athletics and identity.

Why it fits SAIIE

It combines language use, cultural immersion, and local interaction in a format that supports both academic and personal development.
