AIRPORT GREETING AND TRANSFERS
We provide an airport greeting to land you on your feet right from the word “go”. If you would also like to include airport transfer in your faculty led package please let us know and we can arrange this for you.
ON-SITE ORIENTATION UPON ARRIVAL
In addition to the pre-departure orientation package, there will be an orientation meeting after your arrival in Seville, telling you all you need to know about the program, informing you of the academic schedule, socio-cultural activities, etc.
GUIDE BOOK
Upon arrival, SAIIE will provide professors and students with a book of relevant information for their stay in Seville, including emergency contact phone numbers, addresses of accommodation for all students and professors, dates of trips and activities, etc. All program content and information will be available in this book.
STAFF SUPPORT
Both the SAIIE faculty and on-site staff are here to make your stay as memorable and exciting as possible from day 1. Our staff are bilingual English-Spanish speakers as well as local Sevillians, so they will be especially useful in recommending you activities to do, the best places to eat out at, and any other suggestions to help your group explore and enjoy Seville and all it has to offer.
HEALTH & SAFETY SUPPORT
A member of SAIIE staff will always be available to contact 24/7 in case of an emergency, and in the case of students staying with Spanish host families, all landladies will have the telephone numbers of the staff members to contact.
SOCIO-CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND TRIPS
SAIIE runs daily socio-cultural activities to help students get to know the city better as well as its customs and traditions. We can also organize trips to different locations upon request. All trips must be specified by the institution and agreed upon prior to arrival.
SERVICE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
We have connections to many local businesses, schools, universities and sports teams in Seville amongst other types of institutions, and so are able to arrange service learning projects upon request. In Spring 2014, Carleton College, MN, came for a faculty led program with us in which they spent 3 weeks setting up and running a sports camp at a local school, Colegio Lora Tamayo. They taught a variety of American sports (hockey, basketball, American football, etc.) to the schoolkids, who were aged between 6 and 14 years old. To find out more information please click here.
