Last Friday, we took some of our Spring 2017 students to visit the C.E.I.P. Lora Tamayo Primary School! This is part of the service learning project we are organizing this semester for our students at the local Sevillian school located in the outskirts of Seville.

Our students got to engage with kids from the school, organising fun activities and games for them in English!

We plan to make these visits to Lora Tamayo a permanent part of our Study Abroad program, as we feel it provides our students with a direct immersion into the Spanish language and culture. It is an opportunity for them to practice their Spanish speaking skills, as well as a chance to improve upon their leadership and teamwork skills.

The students’ visits to Lora Tamayo are structured in a way similar to that of the Faculty Led programs we have organised in the past for Carleton College.

Any faculty interested in our program can get in contact with the head of Faculty Led Programs at SAIIE, Sean Chipres, at seanrc@saiie.com
