Our soccer students have settled in well into their three weekly training sessions with the local teams Azahar CF and Triana CF. A couple of weeks ago we took them to the training grounds of the professional team, Sevilla FC, where they were able to tour round the professional team’s facilities. This included 8 grass pitches, the first team changing rooms (along with sixteen other changing areas for their other teams such as Sevilla Atlético and Sevilla C), two gyms and their own Sevilla FC press conference room, among many other first-rate facilities.

sevillafc2The highlight for most was getting to watch the Sevilla Atlético team train, as well as seeing a few Sevilla FC first team players around the grounds, including the former Real Madrid and Arsenal player, José Antonio Reyes. After watching the Sevilla Atlético training there was even a chance for photos with the players, which of course, we took full advantage of!

Coming up soon in the soccer program: on Thursday March 5th our male soccer students will be playing for their team, Triana CF in a friendly match against Camas CF. Needless to say, we will be cheering them on from the sidelines… Vamos chicos!
